The visitors and lobbyists must walk through metal detectors and have their purses and briefcases searched. In coming weeks, their belongings will have to go through X-ray machines yet to be installed. State employees can walk around the checkpoint if they show valid state identification, as can Texans who carry a pistol with a concealed handgun license. It’s perhaps the only public building in the country where pistol-packing average Joes can walk through security undeterred. The express lane for gun owners is clearly marked: “CHL Holders.”

They told me if I voted for McCain, the nation’s hope would deteriorate, and sure enough there has been a 20 point drop in the Consumer Confidence Index since the election, reaching a lower point than any time during the Bush administration.
They told me if I voted for McCain, the US would become more deeply embroiled in the Middle East , and now, tens of thousands of additional troops are scheduled to be deployed into Afghanistan ..
My Democrat Party friends told me if I voted for McCain, that the economy would get worse and sure enough unemployment is approaching 9.8% and the new stimulus packages implemented recently have sent the stock market lower than at any time since the Islamic Terrorists attacks of 9/11.
They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more “crooks” in high ranking positions in Federal government and sure enough, several recent cabinet nominees and Senate appointments revealed resumes of scandal, bribery and tax fraud.
They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more “Pork at the trough” in Federal government and sure enough, 17,500 “Pork Bills” showed up in Congress since January 2009….
I was also told by my Democrat friends that if I voted for McCain, we would see more deficit spending in Washington D..C. , and sure enough, Obama has spent more in just 30 days than all other Presidents combined – in the entire history of the good ole USA ….
Well I voted for McCain in November and my Democrat friends were right… all of their predictions have come true!

What is the purpose of the Church or a Non Profit?

The objective of a “for profit” organization is to increase stock holder’s equity.

The objective of a “not for profit” organization is to increase their purpose.

For example, if a nonprofit organization is about feeding the poor, how many poor can we feed? If a nonprofit is about missions, how many missionaries can we support? If a nonprofit is about community, how many community organizations know we are there, how many schools feel our presence, how many people in the community even know we exist?

A nonprofit’s priority, how it spends its time and money, who it supports, dictates who they are. What is their priority determines what their true purpose is; not what they say. Their priority is not the written word, it is their actions.

Corruption is a Christian saying they are one thing and being someone else. Hypocrisy is a non Christian saying they are something and being someone else. The difference is a Believer should be held to higher standard with the world than a non Believer. Christian organizations should operate, hold themselves, work harder, sacrifice more, etc… etc… etc… than the secular market place. God is not happy when Christian organizations have a lower work ethic and stewardship than a “Wal Mart.”

Thank God we have a War Hero as President!
